 Biography On Helen Keller

Helen Keller was born on June 27th, 1820.  She was born in Tuscima , Alabama.  Helen had one sister.  Her time period was June 27th, 1820-June 1st , 1968.  Her parents were Kate Adam Keller, and Her dad was Captain Keller.  Helen became blind and deaf when she was thirteen months old.  When she got older, Alexander Gram Bell helped Kate find a teacher for Helen.  Her name was Anne Sullivan.  When Anne was little, she had also had the experience of being blind too.  When she finally helped Helen Keller learn how to read and write, Helen loved to read the brail bible the Keller’s had purchased.  Before Anne Sullivan helped Helen, She made up hand signals to communicate.

Helen Keller was sometimes funny, cute and kind.  Sometimes she was naughty, and locked people in closets.  She could also get very mad and frustrated in her own dark world.  She threw lot’s of temper tantrums.  Helen was also very stubborn sometimes.  Helen Keller is known for learning how to read and write being blind and deaf.

Helen has overcome being blind and deaf, and still learning how to read, write, and type on a brail typewriter.  I think that is very amazing.  Something that I think is very interesting about Helen Keller is that she learned how to read, write, and type.  She also learned how to read a brail bible.   Sadly, Helen died on June 1st, 1968. I think Helen Keller made amazing discoveries being blind and deaf, but I’m glad I’m not blind and deaf!!!!!!
